Doctoral Student in Psychology

Angie is completing her doctoral degree in UQAM’s Ph.D./Psy.D. Clinical Psychology program. She completed a one-year intensive residency in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program at the McGill University Health Centre’s Allan Memorial Institute, as well as a one-year internship at UQAM’s Centre for Psychological Services (CSP). She received training for the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders including Borderline (BPD), Dependent, and Avoidant Personality Disorders. In addition, she led support groups for individuals suffering from eating disorders and body image issues at Anorexia and Bulimia Quebec (ANEB) over a one-year period. She is also experienced in helping individuals with relationship issues, self-esteem, healthy boundary setting, and burnout. Angie’s therapeutic approach integrates Third Wave CBTs including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) modalities. Her therapeutic style is authentic, empathetic, warm, and flexible. She is passionate about helping her clients on their journey towards self-discovery and change, allowing them to lead a more fulfilling life. She works in English and French with adults and adolescents.
