Psychological Assistant and Group Intervention Leader

Amanda Thaw, B.A. Honours, Doctoral Candidate

Amanda is a doctoral candidate in UQAM’s Clinical Psychology graduate program and is a resident at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She works on three separate teams, treating clients in Chronic Pain, Feeding Disorders and Trauma. She also conducts psycho-educational assessments. Amanda's specialities include socio-emotional adjustment in children, including emotion regulation and distress tolerance, as well as parent-child attachments. She has extensive experience working with children, both individually and in groups. She co-leads our teens’ DBT group and has previously run social emotional skills and ADHD groups.
