Amanda Thaw, B.A., Ph.D. Candidate
Doctoral Student in Psychology
Amanda is a doctoral candidate in UQAM’s Clinical Psychology graduate program and is currently a resident at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She has worked on several MUHC teams, treating clients in chronic pain, trauma, oncology, feeding disorders and general psychology. She also conducts psycho-educational assessments. Amanda's specialities include socio-emotional adjustment in children, particularly emotion regulation and distress tolerance, as well as parent-child attachments. She has extensive experience working with children, both individually and in groups. She co-leads a teen DBT group and has previously run social emotional skills and ADHD groups.
