Shalini Persaud, MTA
Shalini completed her Masters of Arts in Music Therapy and Graduate Diploma of Music Therapy at Concordia University. She also completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at the University of Western Ontario. Shalini offers individual and group therapy for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. She has experience working with these populations in various settings including schools, long-term care, palliative care, and community centers. Shalini’s approach is strength-based as she works with clients to identify, incorporate, and build upon their existing abilities and resources. Through the use of a creative medium, she works with clients to develop tools and practice skills that support them in understanding, coping with, and meeting the demands of day-to-day life.
