Vocational Counselor/Therapist

Holding a Masters in Education, Nora Polisena is a vocational and career development specialist. She evolved from a human resources generalist, helping people find employment. She was later employed by a private high school for three years, serving as a guidance counsellor and psychosocial worker providing support, responding to specific needs and to situations of crisis, and collaborating with external resources.   Since 2014, she began her private practice; Nora supports clients in regards to their personal and professional lives, career development, self-knowledge, skills assessment, psychometric tests, reorientation following an accident or other life changing situations, and retirement planning. She also works with an Employee Assistance Program,  providing therapy to employees and their families, whether it be short-term solutions orientation counselling, helping the person cope with a wide range of challenges such burnout, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, professional or relational issues and stress.  She was recently trained for EMT (Eye Movement Technique - developed by Dr. Fred Friedberg). Mrs. Polisena is a bilingual professional, recognized by her peers for her ability to establish good interpersonal relationships, listening, her sense for others and determination to succeed.
