Jennifer Sidel, M.A.


Jennifer Sidel is a licensed psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults dealing with a range of difficulties. She is passionate about her work and believes in creating a strong working relationship with each client to empower them to bring about the change they wish to see in their lives. Jennifer works with both adolescents and adults, treating issues such as depression, anxiety, postpartum issues, parenting challenges, self esteem, anger management, trauma and abuse.

Jennifer is a licensed psychotherapist by the OPQ (L’Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec) and holds a Masters degree is Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa and BA in Psychology from McGill University. She has had extensive post-masters training in cognitive behavioural therapy but believes that the best approach to therapy is one that employs therapeutic modalities from a range of theoretical orientations, such as mindfulness, psychodynamic and systemic approaches. Jennifer works collaboratively with her clients to help them understand the nature of their difficulties and find new ways of approaching life in a way that fits with each person’s individual personality.

Jennifer is also a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and a member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural therapies.
