Dr. Inês Lopes, Ph.D.


Dr. Inês Lopes works with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples in 4 languages: Français, English, Português, Español. She earned her doctorate degree in Psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and her B.A. degree in Psychology from Concordia University. She has worked in clinical, school and hospital settings.

Her clinical interests include: depression, anxiety, bullying/harassment, violence and abuse, behavioural difficulties, anger, social skills, multicultural issues, adjustment difficulties/transitions, mourning, self-esteem, assertiveness, perfectionism, relationship difficulties (couple, friends, family), separation/divorce, identity, sexual orientation, professional challenges, difficulties associated with being a caregiver, coaching for parents, family dynamics and psychological assessment.

She is also a member in good standing with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. The theoretical approaches she uses are mainly Cognitive-Behavioural and Systemic-Interactional.
